RE: Opinions: Small Companies running Domino ~Judy Dwonusteroopsi 19.Feb.03 07:01 PM a Web browser General All Releases; 6.0Windows 2000, Windows NT, Linux - RedHat
One of my best customers is a small company with about 25 seats, with Domino serving as their primary email client and multiple collaboration databases. Their Extranet for over 250 franchisees is based in Domino, and we've developed workflow applications for sales reporting; Domino had EVERYTHING that was needed relative to disconnected use, security, workflow applications, etc.
HOWEVER....the new pricing scheme may kick it out. What we purchased in year 1 for the Extranet server was the iNotes Per Server (??), which was $5300. Now, the new scheme - on a dual processor box - would be over $22K. We may no longer be able to renew them. Even most small companies utilize a dual-processor box.
